7.8.2 SEA to 8.1.1.9 upgrade on Sql server 2008

Dear All,

Currently we are on Siebel 7.8.2.14 SEA and DB version is MS SQL server 2008

We want to upgrade from Siebel 7.8.2.14 SEA to Siebel 8.1.1.9  SIA.

As per ID 1514115.1 its only 1 step upgrade .Just wanted to check is there anyone tried this path? and issues involved in thios process and also is there any extra care need to be taken?

Also I doubt whether SQL Server 2008 supports Siebel Upgrade process? in case it doesn't we need to downgrade our existing Sql 2008 to SQL serer 2005, run the siebel upgrade and again upgrade SQL 2005 to SQL 2008.

Please help me in this regard.. expecting more inputs on SQL Servev part.
