Firmware update T4-4: Is a powercycle really necessary ?

Loading the firmware from a http/tftp server (-> load -source .....) downloads the FW and installs it into the SP. This procedure also restarts the SP. It seems everything is fine after the update/SP reset and the OBP on the LDOMs are updated when rebooted after the control domain has been rebooted.So, my question really is: Is it possible to do a firmware update without an immediate powercycle and postpone the guest LDOM reboots  ? If you run split i/o, will a control domain reboot followed by a io domain reboot be sufficient to keep guest LDOMs up and running
