Is it Necesarry for create the Seprate org for LCM or just Enable LCM check in current Org ??

Hi All ,
I am doing setups for the Lended Cost Management , I just wanted to know it is necesarry to create a new Inventory Org and Corresonding Inventory Org Parameter for LCM or just enabled the LCM Check in the current Inventory Org.
