SATA Disks on X4600 M2 ?

Is it possible to substitute 2.5" SATA disks for the internal SAS disks that come with an X4600 M2? I notice

but don't really know what it refers to. Basically I'm looking for larger less expensive internal disks. SAS and SATA use the same cabling and connectors and some controllers can handle both.

Failing that would larger 2.5" SAS drives work? The largest designed for the X4600 M2 is 300GB and there are now 1 TB drives.

Howdy, Stranger!
