Output Excel with multiple sheets

Hi,

I would like to have a technical advice regarding XML Publisher and Excel multi-sheet (OEBS 12.1.3 - XML Publisher 5.6.3).

Supposing that patch 12415414 has not been applied (R12: How to add Microsoft Excel as Type to the Create Template List of Values in BI Publisher [ID 1343225.1]), what "best option" do I have to generate as output an excel file with multiple sheets ?
