Next Numbering by Business Unit/FY (In place of Company/FY)

Hello,

One of our clients is insisting to modify the Standard NN by Co/FY to cater to their requirement of NN by Business Unit/FY. We had tried to make them understand the concept of document company and implement the next numbering by using document companies, but the client wants the next numbering for certain applications (Sales Order) to be based on the Business Unit (MCU) and Fiscal Year.

Wanted to know whether anybody has made such a change in JDE or whether it is feasible to make such a change and what are the pitfalls.
