Contacts multiselect lookup in task object

Hi Champs,
We faced a strange issue. An Account had 2 Contacts associated to it. We added one more contact to it. Now when we create a task against this Account and expand the 'Contacts' multiselect picklist in task object, we should be seeing 3 contacts (under contacts related to client) but we are seeing only 2 contacts.

Is there any functionality behind this?
