GL Journal not approved since above maximum limit of all approvers defined

hi

i created journal approvers with limits but the user created a journal with a batch total more than the maximum defined for the most senior approver

now the workflow cannot find the approver and no one can see the notification

we need to cancel or reject the journal as the user split this batch into a number of batches with samller amount and these were approved successfully
