How to do such customize in Siebel Open UI?

 Hi:     We want to let user modify some join field in form applet. For example:
     We created a customized order sheet applet which have some field joined on account BC.
In some condition，we want to let user to modified account without using pickapplet.
we want to set these field of account unbinded and editable after query finished
When user refulfill these field，we want to check it and set new value back to order sheet.
Can this customizatiion work in Open UI?

Any advice or sample will be appreciate.
