Data Access in Exadata

 Hi,

 I would like to know if the below statement is correct:

1.  Exadata do not use ASM memory when accessing data from CELL (instead it use iDB/LIBCELL)

2. and if you rely on ASM memory for accessing data though extent mapping this is what happens on non - exadata environment.

 In addition to above query I would like to know why sga_target recommened value is 1250 MB on an ASM instance. It is sufficient ?
