Query View in READ ONLY DATABASE

Hello Folks,

I am running a primary & physical standby database configuration on 11gr2. When i put my standby in READ-ONLY mode then i am unable to execute any queries which uses views. I can query the base tables.  Is this correct behavior since dictionary is also in read only mode and view needs to re-compile.

Any help will be greatly appreciated  it.
