Why do we reboot RAC node.

Hi Team,

Customer were trying to compile invalids using utlrp.sql and it was getting hanged. They tried by bouncing db but it did not work. Finally they rebooted one node of RAC and started db. After that runing utlrp.sql got completed. Now their concern is ,why it is needed to reboot the RAC node.
