Learning Catalogue Design Recommendations

Hi

Can anybody suggest with recommendations on a learning catalogue design? As we see that, Oracle allows us to create Nth level sub categories. But, want to check what is the pros and cons of having so many levels and how many levels we can recommend.

Appreciate your response with recommendations. We are using R12.1.3 version.
