R12 Inventory Pick Rule - "Customer Spec Match"

Does anyone have any details about what functionality the "Customer Spec Match"  checkbox brings to an Inv Pick Rule?  There is no documentation regarding this functionality other than the one-liner... "Customer Spec Match to require quality specification matching"
