depot repair debrief

Hi All

In Depot repair debrief there is a field " Supercession Item" in debrief report. I understand that during the repair if any part needs to be replaced then we can record it here. Where can I find more documentation regarding this? Is this field given only for reporting purpose? Currently it displays all the items from the LOV and ideally it should only display those items whose item relationship has been defined in inventory.
