DBID required for SPID restore

 Just a quick question to set my mind at rest.

I was under the impression that if the SPFILE was backed up to FRA, the DBID was not required when attempting restore spfile from autobackup;

However, each time I attempt this I receive the error message - "must explicitly specify DBID with SET DBID command"

Is someone able to clarify please ?
