Will Siebel users be forced to upgrade to JRE 7 for Windows desktop clients?

Does anyone know if Siebel users will be forced to upgrade to JRE 7 for Windows desktop clients? My customer is running on Siebel CRM 8.1.1.x and using Java 1.6.x. According to Support Policy, Java 1.6 will be supported if this is one of the component of the Oracle product. I assume Java 1.6 is part of CRM 8.1.1.x. According to the Support Policy, CRM 8.1.x has PS end date on Nov 2016. So can I confirm Java 1.6 will also have PS end date until Nov 2016 and critical and security patches will continue to be provided.
