upgrade from 11.5.10 to R12.1.3

Hi All,

We are upgrading from 11i to R12, we want to know the impact on the GL setup that will occur, like in R12 there ledger instead of set of books, will ledgers be autmoatically replaced, is there any checkllist availble or any document that any one can refer for this purpose.
