Frequency of running create accounting in OPM with special reference to item costing and COGS

 I will appreciate if somebody can confirm what is the recommended frequency of running create accounting & actual cost processer for Process Manufacturing.

In case we can run the above mentioned anytime then what happens to the cost of item and COGS if I peform the following steps:

1) Create a batch

2) Enter production for full quantity which was produced

3) Run cost update

4) Run Create Accounting

5) Issue the item against sales order (sales order issue)

6) generate Invoice 

7) Run create accounting

8) Enter ingredient

9) Run cost update

10) Run Create Accounting

Assume that there was zero inventory of the items to be produced at the period begining
