SUBJECT Translation - Revenue and Expense Accounts

Our accountants want to use the following method and rates in the translation process for Revenue\Expense Accounts:   YTD Method and YTD Ave Rate .  Based on my understanding of the options\profile settings I don't see any way to do this.  Is there?  And if it can't be done, why would Oracle limit you to methods below?

My understanding of our Translation options for calculating translation on Revenue\Expense accounts are:

Option1: Net Activity Calculation Method (PTD Method)  using Period Ave Rate.  This defualt if no profile setting, or  triggered if use following profile option;  GL Translation: Revenue/Expense Translation Rule = PTD.
