Offline Operations #1: Updating the EM Installer for Offline Installations

Certain critical software additions may be available to update either the Enterprise Manager installer, for content or prerequisites checks, for instance, or the product being installed with current security or functional patches. For users with access to the internet from the installation host, this update can be accomplished through the installation session user interface. For those users who must install on a host without internet access, or offline, the same functionality is provided by securing an updates file set on a host with internet access, transferring the downloaded set of files to a location accessible by the offline installation host
