Error when inputting Journal Entry for new Flexfield Segment Values

Hello, we are on Oracle EBS release 12.1.3.  We have just set up two new Accounting Flexfield segment values.  We added the two new segment values and then modified our cross validation rules to include the new values.  When we try to enter a journal entry, we receive the following error:

APP-FND-01238:  Cannot set value for field Lines.code_combination_id

I also tried re-compiling the Accounting Flexfield, but that didn't work either.  Is there a step that we missed?
