Sourcing auction: Can I require that a question be answered in respect of every line bid on ?

I am creating an auction and need to ask and force the bidders to respond to the following question in respect of each and every line that they bid on:  "Are you a manufacturer, an importer or a distributer of this item?"

Is it possible to ask such and, if so, how?

I would ideally like them to select the response from a List of Values (in which case the question will be "Which of the following are you with respect to this item?") but I'd settle fpr giving them a text field in which to enter the response.
