Is the usage of Incremental Repository Merge MANDATORY when applying 8.1.1.10?

 

The MR Guide for 8.1.1.10 says

 

“For Siebel Fix Pack 8.1.1.10, when it is installed as a patch release into an existing installation with an existing database, you must use the Incremental Repository Merge feature (IRM) to implement any new enhancements.”

 

Does it mean?

 

“For Siebel Fix Pack 8.1.1.10, when it is installed as a patch release into an existing installation with an existing database, you must use the Incremental Repository Merge feature (IRM) to implement any new ACRs”
