Removal of Samba

edited Apr 1, 2013 8:20AM in Oracle Solaris System Administration (MOSC) 4 commentsAnswered ✓
So, apparently some way some how, samba from source is installed on my M4000 as well as samba from the pkgadd.

What I'd like to know is, how would one go about completely removing all of samba, and then reinstalling with the correct approved samba from the pkgadd. We've installed the 1/23 cluster patchset so, I'd like to get everything removed because if I give a smbd -V I get back 3.6.6 is installed.

which smbd gives me /usr/sbin/smbd so it's looking like it's installed.

Any help please?
