RMAN configuration parameters are different on DG Primary DB that they are on DG Standby.

Hello all and thanks in advance for your time to review my post.

I have a number of instances running verious versions and configurations (10.2.0.5, 11.2.0.2, 11.2.0.3, Data Guard and Non DG).  The instance(s) I need help with happens to be 10.2.0.5 DG with one Primary and one Physical Standby.  The rman configuration parameters on the standby db are incorrect, and it being the standby, I can not make the necessary changes.  This is an inheritated system / issue, so I'm unclear how this happened.  I can alter the primary's rman configurations at will, however the changes do not carry over to the standby db.  I am no rman expert, so any and all comments are welcome.
