Expired extended attributes still appear on standard forms

The extended attributes values table (csi_iea_values) has a column called "active_end_date".  Yesterday, I programmatically set that date to SYSDATE using an API (csi_item_instance_pub.expire_extended_attrib_values).  It worked just fine.  The active_end_date column contains what is now yesterday's date.

The problem I'm having is that Oracle doesn't seem to be paying any attention to the active_end_date in the IB on-line screens.  My users are sending me e-mails in which they show me that the extended attribute value I end-dated for them yesterday in prod still appears on the Install Base "Additional Attributes" screen.
