Can the DSCP network be used to get command outputs from XSCF?

Is there a way to use the DSCP network to access the XSCF so that an Explorer, or other script, could interrogatethe XSCF?   I don't have an M-series box handy to test this on.   I have a number of customers who chose to
connect the XSCF via serial, and not ethernet, as its an infrastructure decision.

I want to be able to collect a 'showhardconf' in an explorer or other script to check the system health.  Since
the XSCF has no ethernet, they cannot take advantage of ASR either.
