Batch Size

It  is said that you can specify the maximum size of a batch in the Lockboxes window. If the number of receipts exceeds this maximum, AutoLockbox will create a new receipt batch.   What is the unit of measure for the batch  size, will it be number of lines or simply the file size?.  What is the recommended file size and it's impact if there is any.Red
