Remove EM 12c Agent

We run a small EM installation.  Our server crashed and I reinstalled EM.  Now, I can't get the agents to deploy becuase there are already agents on the database hosts.  What is the proper way to remove an agent that isn't connected to the EM?  Or, is it possible to register the existing agents without redeploying them?
