R12 : Applying Patches in split configuration

Hi,

I have a general question in patching on split configuration as I am new in Split configuration.

We run e-business suite in split configuration as follow:
Database Tier 10g: run on linux x86_64 bit
Apps Tier 12.0.6:    run on windows server 2003 32-bit.

I am confused when downloading any patch shall I download it for the apps windows platform or the database linux platform.

For example : patch 8623536.
Shall I download patch 8623536 for windows or for linux
