URL field to open in new Browser Window on Find Results List Applet

Hi,
We have URL BC field exposed on Find Results List Applet as a first column.
We want to open a new Window when user clicks on this URL with the URL value present in the first column.

It seems that Find Results List Applet and Find Results BC are hard to customize.
Is there any option available for this which will help to retrieve field value and open the URL?

We tried to add a button on the applet as per DOC ID 1069932.1 but we are not able to extract the field value of the selected record on the Find Results List Applet.
