ECO - Entering a routing for a newly created ECO produces a Item Invalid error.

Environment 8.12  EnterpriseOne.

I have created an ECO. Program P48020. When I form exit off to work order routing to create the routing, (P3112), I get an invalid item number error. Not sure what the item number it is refering to, as the ECO entry form does not request one and neither does the Work Order Routing Form.
