Bank Branch Number

In the bank account form for 11i > Bank Branch.  The number that you normally entered if you are in the US is the routing number. My question is if the bank account  is in Canada,  should this be a routing number as well?.  What is the equivalent routing number for the Canada?. I  am assuming it's the same. Thoughts?
