Device eth5 has different MAC address than expected, ignoring

when doing a service  network restart we are getting this error... i've checked the mac address in the ifcfg-eth5 file and it's correct, i matched it against the mac address shown in the ilopt.

we've been running this linux server for about 9 months and have never changed any of the settings, and yet we noticed that the mac address was commented out in the igcfg-eth5 file, when we uncomment it

we get the above error.. eth3 and eth5 are bonded  and up until 4/1 we didn't have a problem...   is there someway short of doing a reboot that would correct the problem?
