How to share the same journal batch name

Hi,

Our system has two GL ledgers assigned to two different GL responsibilities.
I created a batch "20130302" in resp01 and enter JE and save it. Then I log in resp02, if I create a new batch using the same name "20130302", system will pop up error "A batch with this name already exists for this period". If I search for this batch name, no record is retrieved.
But the GL user guide says, A batch can contain multiple journals, each of which can belong to a different ledger.
How can I share the same batch name among different ledgers/resonsibilities?

Who can give me some advise about this? Thank you in advance.
