Information on DMZ and SSL

  Hi All, 

I am new to DMZ and SSL in R12. 

We have a production instance as below 

1. Internal web tier - Apache,Concurrent,forms, oc4j - http://internal.company.com:8000
2. External Web tier in DMZ with SSL - https://external.company.com:443 
3. Database Tier 


All the above three nodes running on RedHat Linux 5 

Now i got the task to clone this instance to TEST and implement the SSL 


I have some questions regarding DMZ and SSL and would like to ask one by one. 
Thanks in advance for your help.

1. Assume External web tier is ready that is only OS is installed before cloning.
