WO Completion and Closing Process

Hello,

please, can anybody provide us answers for our questions?

-  easy way to remove open material quantities when completing Operations/Work Orders (in SAP we got trigger when completing WO if we wanted to cancel outstanding materials = remove outstanding quantities).  It looks like the closing WO function is NOT doing this...

-  easy way to give released Operations status Completed when completing a Work Order (in SAP we got trigger when completing WO if we also wanted to give outstanding Operations the status Complete).  Is there developed any function that can do this?

Can somebody describe what exactly is the closing WO function doing?
