Monitoring of OEM

Hi,

I would like to have my OEM 11g in AIX monitored and alert me when it gets down for any reason. What is the best option to do that? I consider 3 approaches:

1. monitoring of of the OEM processes. Could you help which one is the best one to monitor? I need a representative OEM processing like pmon is for an Oracle database.

2. Activity of the port. Which one should be choosen?

3. Output of the command returning OEM status. Is there anything better then 'emctl status oms'?

I would appreciate your opinion on that, thank you in advance.
