Including run time parameters to a BI Publisher report

Hello all,
I've created a report using BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1. However i'm facing a problem when trying to include run time parameters.

The report is built on an SQL Query which has a field titled Accounting_Date which should be a run time date range parameter. Basically when im running the report on my BI Publisher i need to be able to include a Date range parameter at run time. I'm aware of the parameters button on the  'Edit' page. However, my parameter is actually residing within my data model

Any idea how i can do that?
