Upgrading SLA Historical Transactions from 11i to R12.1.2

Hi Oracle Upgrade community members,
We recently upgraded the test instance from 11i PROD, I have noticed that SLA transactions for AR/PA/Cost Management exist only for 6 months where as AP has earlier historical transactions. We would prefer to bring the transactions of last 10 years for the modules AR/PA/Cost Management, I know that there are SLA-Pre-upgrade and Post upgrade programmes are available. Have any one used this program at the client place? if used, how complication to bring use these Pre-upgrade and post-upgrade patches? What is your experience in terms of performance of Create Accounting and other SLA related reports?
