OIC: Reset Balances Each Year

Hi OIC Gurus

Is it useful to set the Profile Option, " OIC: Reset Balances Each Year " to Yes, instead of the default value No.

Would setting "OIC: Reset Balances Each Year" to Yes help dealing with year-end situations of carry over plan element, prior unpaid balances due to Role changes.

Please share your experiences.
