Deleted Processed data from GL_INTERFACE

Hello All,
When we submit Journal Import, Processed data is being deleted automatically from GL_INTERFACE Table. We can see this in Log file as shown below.

SHRD0119: Deleted 2 record(s) from GL_INTERFACE.


Is this standard functionality? If yes, what is the purpose of this when there is a program 'Delete Journal Import Data' already exist for this.
