create low endian standby database for high endian production database

I would like to create a standby database on Linux platorm, while the production database is on a HPUX itanium platform. So there is a diffence in Endian formats.
First i would like to know  if it is possible, before trying to find a non-existing road...
Then second, what way is the best to come to this solution ?
