Time and Date Calculations

Does anyone have a good way to calculate difference between two dates and two times. I found BSFN N968901A Calculate Time Consumed but have not noticed any other System or Business Function to get the time difference. The BSFN N968901A  doesn't return the correct number of hours when the start time is later than the end time (when duration is more than one day)
