Auto Reversal Creteria functionality in Webadi

we have set up an auto reverse criteria on a particular journal category. We have the requirement to create few journals in ADI using that category and in ADI flag it as a non reversing journal as we want them not to be reversed. But the reversal information is being populated for these journals as well and they are getting Auto Reversed when the period is Opened. 

Is this the expected fuctionality or a bug? we are on 11.5.10.2 version. If this is expected, what is the work around for this and how is the behavour in R12 for this scenario.
