Report Manager - FSG view output in excel

Hello;

I am having difficulties viewing the output of a FSG report which was created in Report Manager.  Whenever the excel option is selected, excel is observed trying to open the template format, however it closes without displaying output.  In addition default excel sheet (eg Sheet 1) is no longer in the workbook.  The creator of the template is able to generate and view the report successfully. Does anyone have a solution to the issue?
