OSP PO not able to receive

Hi Experts

We are not able to receive the Outside Purchasing PO. AFter analysis, we found that job which is linked to this PO got closed.

I would like to know, is this a standard functionality, if Jobs get closed then we can not receive it.

If yes, then can we overwrite this functionality. i.e. can we receive the material even if Job gets closed.

Or is it possible that, job can not move ahead before receiving the Item.

It will be great help from you.
