Blade Chassis root password reset

Hi everyone,
I've got a problem with a Sun Blade CMM with four T6320. I can't remember the root password so I tried to reset it.
Currently there's our serial console server connected to the chassis so it's just like I'd try it
directly over a serial connection. I found the documentation to reset the root password with the default
user but when I enter this username the CMM just asks for a password and I don't get to prove 
physical presence to reset the configuration.
So my question is: Can't I reset this password over a serial console server which is connected to the serial
