CPU patch impact

Hello,
We are applying the CPU patch of Januari 2013, but reading the patch documentation, it is hard to define the impact of applying these patches.
Is it possible that the installation of a CPU patch has consequences for the use of e-Buisiness Suite?
Or in general, does anybody have any advise concerning the determination of the impact of applying CPU patches?
